Despite our efforts to intervene and rescue the dog, the owner arrived and adamantly refused to release the animal, claiming ownership and asserting it was his “property. Shockingly, the owner callously revealed that he had purchased the dog for a mere $30 when it was fashionable, but had now discarded it because the breed was no longer considered trendy.
The dog, later named Alan, was in dire straits, weighing a mere 6.5 kilograms and suffering from severely low blood sugar levels. We wasted no time in rushing Alan to the vet, where he received urgent medical attention and insulin injections to stabilize his condition.
The following days saw Alan gradually regain his strength, eagerly devouring food and eventually mustering the energy to stand up and play. Despite the trauma he endured, Alan proved to be a sweet and affectionate companion, quickly winning the hearts of everyone around him and becoming a beloved member of our community.
