The Little Dog Could No Longer Walk, Her Whole Body Trembling In An Effort To Protect Herself

These pictures broke our hearts. This little girl was in pain, unable to walk, her whole body trembling, trying to protect herself from the world. She was left alone on a busy main road, overlooked, ignored, and invisible as people passed by. They pretended not to see her, even though she stood right in front of them. When we looked at her, her pain was evident.

It became clear she had lived her entire life locked in a cage, most likely purchased from a dodgy backyard breeder, sold without any health records. They saw her as an immediate benefit, forgetting she had a heart too. In just a short year, she passed from one hand to another, never having time to know her new owner.

She gradually became afraid every time she was put in the car, not knowing where her fate would lead. The new owner didn’t really care for her, considering her just a toy. Her fate was tragic until she managed to escape from the small cage. Running as fast as she could, afraid they would catch and beat her, she eventually stopped, exhausted and alone in the dark. She sat in the corner, crying silently, not knowing where she was, feeling weak and hungry.

When we came to her rescue, I felt grateful that someone finally cared for her. We named her Penny, hoping to give her a new life of freedom and happiness. At the clinic, veterinarians began treating her, trying to stabilize her condition. Penny, a 5-year-old Mini Pinscher weighing just 2.6kg, suffered from numerous ailments, including skin infections, anemia, rotten teeth, and deformed ribs. X-rays revealed a dislocated kneecap, a common disorder in poorly raised dogs.

Unfortunately, Penny is in stage 4 and will require surgery for pain-free movement once stable. She has a long road ahead, needing plenty of nutrients to recover. We are committed to helping her put her painful past behind her and hope for a brighter future. If Penny’s story has touched your heart, please consider donating to her medical care. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
