Oasis fans share same complaint after registering for pre-sale ballot for UK and Ireland reunion tour

If you haven’t been living under a rock all day, you’re probably aware of the fact that Oasis are finally reuniting after 15 years apart.

The Manchester-based group will be making a return after Liam and Noel Gallagher have seemingly buried the hatchet, announcing 14 shows across the UK and Ireland which will surely be sold out.

It was announced that tickets would be released on Saturday 31 August to fans, though just this evening (27 August), it was announced that a pre-sale ballot had opened, with the opportunity to win the chance to buy tickets on Friday 30 August.

However, several fans are having issues with registering for the pre-sale ballot, and it seems to be the same problem among them all.

When signing up, you are asked for your email, name, phone number and city – standard stuff.

After this, you’re asked some questions, with the first asking how many Oasis gigs you’ve been to, the next asking who the original drummer of Oasis was, and the final one asking where you wanted to watch the band (UK or Ireland).

And after all of this, a message pops up asking for you to ‘follow the link’ to complete your entry, noting to check junk and spam folders.

However, fans have done all of the above, and still haven’t received the all important confirmation email.

One shared on X: “Anyone else signed up to the Oasis pre sale ballot but not received the email verification?!”

Another said: “I take it no one else has got a presale confirmation email for Oasis then?

“Saturday is gonna be some laugh if the presale is this broken.”

A third added: “Obsessed w Oasis having a quiz to answer to gain access to the presale but also can i please get my confirmation email bc i registered as soon as i got the email 40 mins ago. A girl is anxious.”

As for the exact instructions on how to register, the band posted on social media: “A ticket pre-sale will be held on Friday 30th August, ahead of Saturday’s general sale.

“To ensure the maximum number of fans have a fair opportunity to access tickets, applicants will be selected for the pre-sale via a ballot.

“Ballot registration is open now and will close at 7pm BST, this Wednesday 28th August. Register via the link in bio.

“Successful applicants will receive an email with full access information the morning of Friday 30th August.

“Success in the ballot will not guarantee tickets. Tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis.”

Oasis has reunited after Liam and Noel Gallagher put their differences aside

British music is set for a Biblical summer after Oasis confirmed their return following a long 15 years without the iconic rock band.

Noel and Liam Gallagher simultaneously announced the return of the Manchester band, with 14 stadium and field concerts announced across the UK and Ireland in 2025.

The two brothers have seemingly been at war ever since Noel quit the band in 2009, saying he could no longer work with Liam after the frontman reportedly swung a guitar that ‘nearly took Noel’s head off’ at the Rock en Seine Festival in Paris.

But after teasing the return of Oasis over the August bank holiday weekend, the rock ‘n’ roll stars confirmed they had reconciled as they announced on social media: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”

Where are Oasis playing and when will tickets be for sale?

So far, 14 dates have been announced for the Oasis reunion tour with rumour out there that more could be on the way, including a headline slot at Glastonbury.

But that seems to have been cooled by the band itself, which said: “These dates will be the bands exclusive European appearances.”

Eight concerts will take place in July 2025 and six in August 2025 across Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin.

The Cardiff gigs will take place at the Principality Stadium on 4 and 5 July, 2025 with the Manchester gigs taking place at Heaton Park on 11, 12, 19, and 20 July, 2025.

Oasis will then head to Wembley Stadium in London on 25 and 26 July as well as 2 and 3 August.

Two dates will be played at Edinburgh’s Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium on 8 and 9 August, followed by two final concerts at Croke Park in Dublin on 16 and 17 August.

Tickets go on sale for the UK dates at 9.00am on Saturday, 31 August. Importantly for the concerts in Dublin, tickets will be available from 8.00am on the same day.

Is there an Oasis presale?

Oasis announced a presale will take place ahead of the general sale that takes place on Saturday.

Those wanting to try and secure tickets early will have to enter the presale ballot by 7pm on Wednesday (28 August) to get the chance to secure a spot in the ballot.

If you are successful, you’ll get an email confirming your presale code by Friday morning (30 August), with the presale taking place on Friday afternoon.

Access to the presale doesn’t guarantee tickets, the band has stressed.

Oasis officially announce reunion and UK and Ireland tour for 2025

Oasis officially announce reunion and UK and Ireland tour for 2025

The day is finally here

Brenna Cooper

Dust off your parka and dig out the round sunglasses because Oasis have just announced their reunion and first UK tour in 15 years.

For years, the prospect of seeing brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher back on stage and performing classic tracks such as ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’ and ‘Supersonic’ together seemed like something we wouldn’t expect to see in our wildest dreams.

However – after years of trading barbs and insisting that Oasis would never, ever be getting back together – the Britpop icons are back and playing a series of reunion shows next year.

“The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised,” they said.

The band confirmed that they’d be playing a tour of the UK and Ireland, starting at the Cardiff Principality Stadium on 4 and 5 July 2025.

There would then be four dates at Heaton Park in Manchester on 11, 12, 19 and 20 July.

From there, the Gallagher brothers would head down to London to play Wembley Stadium on 25 and 26 July, and then again on 2 and 3 August.

8 and 9 August dates for Murrayfield in Edinburgh are in the diary, as are 16 and 17 August in Dublin’s Croke Park.

Get yourself ready for this Saturday (31 August) because that’s when tickets go on sale, and you’d best believe there’s going to be monumental demand.

The announcement comes after days of fanfare on the internet following an exclusive article from The Sunday Times, which revealed that ‘industry insiders’ had confirmed that the brothers have seemingly buried the hatchet and will be playing a series of triumphant comeback shows.

Noel and Liam would also tease the reunion themselves by sharing a ‘27.08.24’ announcement on 25 August.

The cryptic announcement was also unveiled at the end of Blossoms’ gig at Wythenshawe Park.

How much will Oasis tickets cost?

It will come as a surprise to no one that a ticket to see Oasis back in action for the first time in 15 years won’t be cheap.

THEY'RE BACK! (Simon Emmett/Fear PR/PA Wire)

THEY’RE BACK! (Simon Emmett/Fear PR/PA Wire)

report from the Manchester Evening News estimated that Oasis tickets will likely set you back a sweet £100.

The pricey tickets will no doubt see a lot of fans raising their eyebrows, however with tickets to sell out shows such as Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour going for over £100, it’s not surprising that Oasis ones would cost a similar amount.

There are also rumours that Oasis’ reunion shows could include a set at Worthy Farm, with another ‘industry insider’ telling the Mail on Sunday: “All the speculation about this reunion can get a bit tiresome. But there’s a genuine feeling that next summer’s Glastonbury will be too much of an attraction for Liam and Noel to turn down.

“They have been made aware of the headline slot that’s open for them next summer. Now it’s all down to them.”

Oasis resale tickets warning issued to all fans wanting to go to UK and Ireland reunion tour

Oasis tickets are set to sell out within minutes as Liam and Noel Gallagher reunite after 15 long years apart

Oasis fans have been issued a warning when it comes to buying tickets on the reselling market as demand for them is expected to see the band’s reunion tour sell out within minutes.

Liam and Noel Gallagher put 15 years of bad blood behind them earlier this year, reconciling for a secret photoshoot ahead of the big reunion announcement just two days ahead of the 30th anniversary of their iconic debut album, Definitely Maybe.

Posting across the two brothers’ social media accounts, as well as the main Oasis pages, the band announced that ‘the guns have fallen silent, the stars have aligned, and the great wait is over’.

Fans went into hysteria, losing their minds over the iconic Manchester siblings finally burying the hatchet and praying they could get their hands on tickets to one of the 14 UK and Ireland shows confirmed in the reunion announcement.

Oasis will hit the road in July and August 2025, with those dates expected to expand to worldwide dates with the reunion set to be more than a two month get-together to satisfy their mum Peggy.

Tickets will go on sale for the UK and Ireland concerts this Saturday (31 August), with dates confirmed across Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin.

But for those who miss out on securing tickets first time – of which there will be thousands left disappointed – a warning has been issued when it comes to buying them second hand on resale.

Oasis resale warning explained

Oasis fans will be able to buy tickets from 9am on Saturday, 31 August from TicketmasterSEE Tickets and GIGSANDTOURS. For the Dublin gigs, tickets go on sale at 8am.

If you don’t get tickets, it’s definitely worth seeing if you can pick them up through official resale partners.

But you should stay away from buying them from unauthorised platforms, such as eBay or second hand on social media.

Doing this is a breach of the terms and conditions of the ticket, and even though you’d paid for it, it could end up being cancelled. You also run the risk of being scammed by going through unofficial routes.

Earlier this year, Lloyds Bank estimated that fans of Taylor Swift had lost more than £1 million to ticket scammers ahead of her UK tour.

Liz Ziegler, fraud prevention director at Lloyds Bank, said: “Hot on the heels of Taylor Swift’s record-breaking UK tour, fraudsters will be eagerly anticipating another run of sell-out shows next summer.

“Missing out on these landmark gigs would be devastating for Oasis fans who have waited so long for this reunion. But you can be sure that criminals are getting ready to ‘slide away’ with their hard-earned cash.

“Most of these scams begin on social media, where impostors create fake profiles to sell non-existent tickets. The simple rule for fans is always stick to official ticketing platforms and avoid deals which look too good to be true.”

Where can I buy Oasis resale tickets from?

Fans who can no longer attend the shows will be able to resell their tickets via Twickets or Ticketmaster Fan-to-Fan.

Organisers of the Oasis concerts have said that fans should only use these official resale platforms.

And according to organisers, ticket resales will be allowed at no more than the price that was paid. We are talking face value plus the value of any booking fees.

Alongside tickets being limited to four per household, per concert, it’s a move that should stop ticket scalpers, who I think we can all agree are the absolute worst thing about the live music industry.

It’s going to be a mad scramble at 9am on Saturday

Joe Harker

Let’s start with the good news, Oasis have got back together and they’ll be doing a bunch of gigs next year.

It’s what so many fans have been waiting to hear as Noel and Liam seem to have patched things up enough to agree to share a stage again.

“The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised,” they said.

All in all there’s 14 dates announced for the UK and Ireland leg of the Oasis reunion tour, going from Cardiff to Manchester to London to Edinburgh and then Dublin.

world tour is expected to follow, with dates for that due to be announced – and tickets go on sale at 9am on 31 August in the UK, or 8am if you’re in Ireland.

Now for the bad news, the Ticketmaster site is surely going to buckle under the strain isn’t it?

There are going to be blokes who’ve spent the past 15 years waiting for the day they could get their beloved Oasis t-shirt out of the wardrobe again and Saturday is going to be huge for them.

However, if a million of them all try and rush onto the Ticketmaster site at the same time, along with pretty much everyone else wanting to see Oasis, then it’s going to be a nightmare.

When Oasis announced their new tour for 2025, they had a bit on their site saying: “We strongly advise that those wishing to purchase tickets register in advance of the sale with the relevant ticket agencies.”

With such a rush for tickets, you’ll need to be as quick as possible to get them and there’s a few things you can do to speed up the process.

This article contains affiliate links and LADbible Group might make a commission on anything purchased.

The main thing you can do ahead of time is go onto the ticket website you’ll be buying from and create an account ahead of time.

Have your details already registered and it’ll remove a major obstacle for you while also easing pressure on the page.

A steady internet connection will help too and despite what you might want to do, constantly refreshing the page won’t help much either.

Ticketmaster have also asked you not to sit on the event page waiting for the countdown, as you’ll only need to refresh it to buy tickets anyway.

Some Oasis fans have also said you might want to get ‘ticket insurance’, as though Noel and Liam have said their ‘guns have fallen silent’ there’s always a chance that something will happen.

It’s been a stormy relationship between the brothers in the past and some folks desperate to see Oasis have kept everything crossed that they’ll be able to avoid falling out before the tour starts.

You can get ticket insurance when you’re buying tickets, and it’ll cover you whether you can’t make it or the show gets called off.
