When 4 Of His Friends Died From Bullets, He Held His Head And Cried And Fell Into A Coma

Javier was shot three days ago. He suffered serious muzzle injuries and a broken leg. My heart almost broke when I saw these videos. Around Javier’s bed, four more dogs died. Most of their deaths were due to bullet wounds and severe blood loss.

When I thought about them, I was completely out of control. What did they do to deserve such a painful death? I couldn’t say no to Javier. My conscience wouldn’t let me do that. On that journey of more than 100 kilometers, there were times when my heart was choking with fear.

In the end, Javier and I made it to the vet. Oh my God, the wound was terrible, and his foot dangled like a piece of cloth. Infection tests were negative. Doctors relieved Javier’s pain, drew blood, and admitted him to the intensive care unit. He had a lot of lead from his head to his feet.

But throughout the entire call, Javier never intended to hurt me. No matter how much it hurt, he endured it. Doctors tried to remove as many bullets and shrapnel as possible. Our boy was young, I thought he was about 2 years old. His body was still very healthy, so he would definitely be able to adapt.

Javier’s surgery went well, and everything was normal. His foot was amputated to the shoulder blade, and a drainage system was installed. He had plastic surgery on his muzzle, and we were looking at the seams. The next day, I scheduled a CT scan, as we needed to look at all the cavities in detail. That day was the first time he stood on three legs.

Javier is now ready to leave the vet. The doctor said that everything is fine now, and his face is almost completely healed. Every day, it only needs to be wiped with chlorhexidine and applied ointment. Javier went through a lot of stress and suffering and almost died. He is now sleeping on the sofa peacefully and quietly. This was probably the first time in his life that he felt this comfortable. “Javi, you are an amazing dog. You radiate warmth and you are a hero to my heart.”
