Svetlana Ostabekova was an active rescuer, and one day she received a call asking for help for a dog in trouble. As she drove through the wilderness, she recognized the dog from afar. Approaching closer, she discovered it was an old, helpless dog named Bunny. He lay motionless, his only shelter being a few tiles and rocks stacked on top of each other. He had just gone through something terrible, having been abandoned by his owner simply because he was old.
Flies and insects swarmed all over Bunny’s body, and he was too weak to chase them away. His eyes reflected despair, and he didn’t even react when someone approached. The wounds caused him pain, but he seemed to have gotten used to it. His eyes were half-closed as if he had accepted his fate. Svetlana’s heart broke at the sight, and she immediately took him to the hospital.
Svetlana placed Bunny in the car, laying him on a soft blanket. He remained in a coma the whole way, unresponsive. She panicked and checked if he was still breathing. Fortunately, he was alive and even regained consciousness after arriving at the hospital. In a safe and comfortable place, Bunny managed to lift his head. He had numerous wounds, swollen legs, and damaged eyes.
Doctors treated his injuries to make him more comfortable. Bunny gradually came to his senses and was fed well after lying in the field starving for so long. Svetlana felt a deep sense of satisfaction as he ate heartily. His condition was severe, suffering from necrosis, broken leg bones, and damaged liver and kidneys. It was a miracle that he had survived such harsh conditions.
Bunny should have enjoyed his old age in a loving home. Svetlana was moved to tears thinking about what he had endured. Remarkably, Bunny was able to get up and walk sooner than the doctors expected. The love Svetlana showed him gave Bunny the motivation to continue living. Though he was still weak, he expressed his gratitude to Svetlana through his eyes. His treatments would be lengthy and challenging, but everyone believed he would recover. Svetlana promised to always be with him, wishing him peace and health.
