A Blind Homeless Dog Is Rescued And Treated With CTVT (Canine Transmissible Venereal Tumor)

In the street lived a brave stray dog named Juli, who had lost her sight due to an unfortunate accident and was diagnosed with CTVT, a contagious cancer. Despite her challenges, Juli managed to navigate the streets with remarkable agility, relying on her other senses to survive. Some kind-hearted souls would leave food and water out for her, but Juli’s health deteriorated over time, and the tumor on her body made her increasingly frail.

Rescued by RRSA India, it took some time to locate Juli as she often moved around in search of food and shelter. When they finally found her, the volunteers were deeply moved by her resilience. Despite her blindness and the effects of CTVT, Juli allowed rescuers in appreciation, sensing their care.

The rescue team worked tirelessly to gain Juli’s trust, setting up a feeding station and spending time quietly nearby. Gradually, Juli began to approach them, recognizing their warmth and kindness. Once comfortable, she was transported to a veterinary clinic where surgeons removed the tumor, though her vision couldn’t be restored.

RRSA India continued to support Juli throughout her recovery, providing medical care and a safe place to stay. However, Juli is completely blind and will remain in the shelter forever. If you wish to sponsor her costs, please donate. With time, Juli transformed into a healthier and happier dog, a testament to the power of compassion and care.
